TOPP

TOPP is our signature award-giving initiative honoring extraordinary women from the underserved communities of Pasay City. Each year, three deserving women are recognized for their resilience, service, and impact — and are empowered through home-based livelihood training and food cart business starter kits to help them build their own path to financial independence.

The One Pearl of Pasay (TOPP)

TOPP is an award-giving program that recognizes women from the underserved areas of the city who have contributed to their families and communities in exceptional, inspiring ways. The One Pearl of Pasay provides home-based livelihood and business training via food carts to 3 chosen candidates annually, helping our local women gain footing in entrepreneurship.

Project LINGAP

Laging Inaakay, Nililingap, Ginagabayan, Ang mga Pag-asa ng bayan

Project LINGAP is an educational outreach program that seeks to equip children in underserved communities with the basic numeracy and literacy skills through 10 sessions of onsite targeted remediation. It has been uplifting more than 150 pupils for 5 years, and continues to expand its reach to elevate early education in the community.

Project CLAP

Community-based Literacy Acceleration Program

Hand-in-hand with Project LINGAP, Project CLAP aims to empower the real teachers of our pupils beyond classroom walls– their parents. These training sessions are designed to guide parents on how to effectively tutor their children at home, and have recently expanded to train young volunteer tutors as well starting 2025.

Bata, Bata… ‘Wag Kang Gagawa ng Bata

A Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Campaign

Rolling out for 5 years and counting, Bata Bata is a teenage pregnancy awareness campaign, conducted in partnership with local high schools and government institutions to impart knowledge on reproductive and mental health, financial literacy, and VAWC awareness to children and teens aged 12-18.

Crossroads: Youth Leadership Training Program

One of Perlas’ proudest flagship projects, Crossroads has been rallying up and training young, emerging leaders ages 13 to 21 for twenty years. This program molds the country’s next leaders by immersing them in community initiatives and providing platforms where they could share their ideas for positive change, and talk to mentors and fellow young leaders alike to embolden their social awareness, problem-solving skills and sense of self-efficacy.

Pagkain sa Paso

With the aim to provide sustainable solutions to address food insecurity, Pagkain sa Paso is an innovative urban gardening initiative that empowers city residents to grow their own fruit and vegetables in limited spaces for long-term sufficiency.

Project PIE (Paper and Ink for Education)

Beginning during the pandemic as an effort to reach schools and communities who are in need of learning materials, Project PIE has donated hundreds of learning kits and school supplies to children, parents and teachers since 2020 in various communities all over the country, from Apayao to Cotabato, through the help of our sister chapters and service partners.

Strands of Hope

Strands of Hope is a hair donation campaign created to give hope and confidence to cancer patients by spreading cancer awareness and donating medical wigs; all through the joint effort of generous volunteers and partnerships with hair salons around Pasay City.
