Project CLAP: Strengthening Learning Beyond the Classroom

Education extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. Through the Community-based Literacy Acceleration Program (Project CLAP), JCI Perlas Pasay recognizes that parents play an essential role in every child’s learning journey.

Working hand-in-hand with Project LINGAP, Project CLAP equips parents with practical guidance on how to effectively support and tutor their children at home. By strengthening the partnership between schools and families, the program helps create a more supportive learning environment where children can continue to grow outside of regular class hours.

Beginning in 2025, Project CLAP expanded its reach by training young volunteer tutors, further extending educational support within the community. This additional initiative encourages youth participation while helping more learners benefit from personalized guidance.

Project CLAP reflects the belief that when families and communities work together, every child gains a stronger foundation for lifelong learning.
