JCI Perlas Pasay Celebrates 46 Years of Leadership, Friendship, and Service
JCI Perlas Pasay proudly celebrated its 46th Anniversary at Studio Dance Club, commemorating more than four decades of leadership, friendship, fellowship, and service.

Originally chartered in July 1980 under the leadership of its Charter President, PP Lorna Verano Yap, JCI Perlas Pasay was founded on the vision of empowering young people to create meaningful change in their communities. Forty-six years later, that vision continues to live through generations of members who have carried the chapter’s legacy forward.

A special highlight of the anniversary celebration was the sharing of stories from the chapter’s early years by 1982 President Debbie Gatan and 1983 President Tintin Calixto Barretto. Their recollections offered a glimpse into the beginnings of JCI Perlas Pasay and the experiences, friendships, and challenges that helped shape the chapter in its formative years.

More than simply looking back, the celebration became a reflection of the remarkable legacy of **women leadership within JCI Perlas Pasay**. From its founding, the chapter has been shaped by women who stepped forward to lead, serve, innovate, and inspire.

Across different generations, empowered women leaders have taken on the responsibility of guiding the chapter, each bringing her own perspective, strengths, and vision. From the pioneering women who established the foundation of the organization, to the leaders who continued its growth, and the young women taking the reins today, JCI Perlas Pasay demonstrates how leadership can transcend generations.

The anniversary was a celebration of this continuing legacy—where the wisdom of past leaders meets the energy and aspirations of the next generation. It was a reminder that the leadership of one generation can become the inspiration and foundation for another.

As JCI Perlas Pasay looks toward the future, it honors not only the 46 years behind it, but also the countless women and men who have contributed to its story through service, friendship, and leadership.

46 years of memories.
46 years of empowered leaders.
46 years of friendship and service.

From Charter President PP Lorna Verano Yap and the pioneering leaders who started the journey, to the generations of women who continue to lead today, the story of JCI Perlas Pasay is a testament to what happens when leadership is nurtured, shared, and passed on.

Here’s to the past that built us, the present that strengthens us, and the future leaders who will carry the Perlas legacy forward.

Happy 46th Anniversary, JCI Perlas Pasay!
